Cartridge inventor Jerry Lawson’s 82nd birthday
Gerald "Jerry" Lawson, the famed inventor of video game cartridges, was born 82 years ago today. His work within the gaming industry is synonymous with the Fairchild Channel F which was the first console to feature cartridges that could be taken in and out to play different games. Before this revolutionary invention, game consoles would have all the games built-in with no new ones available. Jerry also pioneered early arcade
