We’ve been informed of a new retro-inspired shooter heading to PlayStation, Xbox and Steam on 15th July 2024. Retaliate has been developed by Romans I XVI Gaming and is a scrolling shooter with a unique mechanic. You start each game with zero ammo and must use your shield to absorb enemy fire to build up your armoury. The developer has described the game as Galaga X Kirby and will include a classic, arcade and a challenge mode. A demo on the Retaliate Steam page is available to showcase the game during the Steam Next Fest from June 10 – 17.
