As reported by GamesBeat, Bernie Stolar, the former president of Sega of America and the founder of Sony Computer Entertainment America, has passed away aged 75.
Bernie Stolar has been a major force within the gaming industry since the 1980s, from arcade coin-ops, joining Atari, and leading the development of the Atari Lynx. In the 1990s, he formed Sony Computer Entertainment America and launched the Playstation console. Later in his career, he became President of Sega of America and helped launch the Dreamcast.
