Crypt Stalker is an action platformer that pays homage to the golden era of 8-bit games. Originally released on Steam in 2020, the game has now been ported to the Switch. Developer Sinclair Strange and Publisher RedDeerGames have pulled out all the stops to bring you an authentic 8-bit experience. It’s also on sale for a couple of quid until 12th April 2024.
For those who played the original Steam release, there are bonus stages in the monochromatic handheld mode. Four new levels that will test their skills, and tough challenges – like boss rush. To better emulate the classics, the screen has extra fake flickering, while the game itself comes with a sound test mode.
