Evercade Showase vol 2 was streamed live at 5pm today (Monday 31st July 2023), focusing on forthcoming indie games heading to Blaze Entertainment’s Evercade range of retro consoles.
The Evercade Showcase vol 2 was the second such presentation, after the previous Evercade Showcase vol 1 (obv!)
Cartridges showcased during the presentation included:
Home Computer Heroes vol 1 (a collection of 7 modern indie games developed for Amiga, MSX, and Commodore 64, with titles including Attack of the PETSCII Robots, Citadel Remonstered, and Farming Simulator. Pre-orders open 1st August 2023, for release in October 2023.
Two new dual cartridges, comprising Goodboy Galaxy & Witch N Wiz and Demons of Asterborg & Astebros. Both are available to pre-order in September 2023, for release in December 2023.
Evercade’s first single game cartridge: Full Void, a platform puzzler available in a standard version, which costs £17.99 and includes a prologue comic, plus a collectors’ edition, which comes on a blue cartridge and also includes a card sleeve, a poster and art book, for £24.99. Pre-orders open on 1st August 2023 for release in October 2023. The game has been developed natively for Evercade, rather than relying on emulation.
It was also confirmed that the Game of the Month programme for Evercade VS and Evercade EXP will return in 2024. Also, August 2023’s Game of the Month was confirmed as Doodleworld Redrawn.
