As we deduced, the April 2024 Evercade game of the month was The Curse of Illmoore Bay, but that game’s time on the console has now come to an end forever*, to be replaced by the May 2024 Evercade Game of the Month, Block ‘Em Sock ‘Em. This new game is a collaborative project between retro gaming YouTuber John Hancock, and Second Dimension, the developers of the enjoyable neo-retro titles Eyra, The Crow Maiden, and Beer Slinger.
Block ‘Em Sock ‘Em is a block-based puzzler that was originally released for the Mega Drive, well, the Genesis to be precise.
The May 2024 Evercade Game of the Month is available now to Evercade VS and Evercade EXP users upon updating to the latest system software, and as ever it’ll remain playable until the system software is updated again.
*Well, not forever, but until the Indie Heroes 4 cartridge is released early next year!
