Retro Electro Workshop is a new documentary series airing on Yesterday (Freeview channel 27).
The series follows Rob Howard, described as “one of the UK’s last remaining full-time repairmen of retro-electronic products.”
Although the series focuses on a wide range of electrical products, and not just video games, but the first episode may be of interest, as it includes Howard’s attempts to repair and restore a faulty modded Atari 2600.
The episode was first broadcast on Sunday 23rd July 2023 at 11 PM BST, and it can now be streamed for free via UKTV Play. Can Rob Howard get the old console back up and running? Watch to find out!
Episode 2 will focus on Howard’s attempts to get a Sinclair C5 up and running, and it will be broadcast on Tuesday 25th July 2023 at 9 PM BST before being made available to stream on demand via UKTV Play.
