Gamescon’s Future Games Show showcased a number of impressive game previews, among which was The Devil In Me, the latest interactive title from Supermassive Games. This fourth title from their Dark Pictures Anthology series also serves as the season one finale – whatever that entails.
The new entry in their mid-price series of horror games will be their longest to date, clocking in at over seven hours. A number of gameplay additions will be introduced, such as puzzles, more player interactions, and the ability to jump.
Impressively, Jessie Buckley will serve as the main star in this title – how they snagged her I have no idea! As one of my current favourite actors, I thought she was phenomenal in Men, I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Wild Rose, and Fargo.
The story follows a young film crew making a documentary on H. H. Holmes, America’s first serial killer, and are invited to a “murder castle” to help improve ratings. Pretty soon things start getting gruesome, with Saw-like traps in this Shining-esque setting.
The Devil In Me is out November 18 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One/Series, and PC.
