We were hoping that the forthcoming Super Mario Bros Movie might contain a few Easter eggs for us old-school Mario Bros fans, but one aspect of Mario’s long history that we certainly weren’t expecting to be referenced was 1989’s Super Mario Bros Super Show!
The latest Super Mario Bros Movie trailer (in the style of a plumbing advertisement) debuted during yesterday’s Super Bowl, and in it, we hear a rap that’s unmistakably similar to the one that some of us know and, er, love(?) from the Super Mario Bros Super Show!
The Super Mario Bros Super Show was a mix of live action and animation, based on the NES era of the Super Mario Bros games.
