If you were told a brand new NES game had been cobbled together in 30 days, you may question its quality. However, check out these test screens for Super Sunny World from developer Matt Hughson who challenged himself to make a new platformer for Nintendo’s 8-bit icon in 30 days.
Explaining Super Sunny World on his Twitter account, Matt says “Super Sunny World is going to be a very simple, bright, colorful, platformer inspired by Super Mario Bros 1. I’d like to recreate some of the design magic of that game, with a few little twists to the formula.”
The project started on 13th February and many retro gamers are looking forward to the results. It has got us excited from the initial screenshots and we will keep you updated on its development throughout the 30 day development cycle.
