Ever wondered who’d win in a TMNT vs Street Fighter brawl? Well, you’ll have the chance to find out this May.
The two franchises aren’t clashing in a Marvel-[vs-Capcom-style fighting game but in the pages of a five-issue comic mini series from IDW publishing.
As you may have gathered, we take any opportunity to write about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, whether it be about Shredder’s Revenge, the Cowabunga Collection or even the Amstrad CPC conversion of the beloved 80s coin-op! And we’re partial to a bit of Street Fighter, too. |Fusion magazine’s editor, Ben Honebone, has even had the chance to get hands-on with the forthcoming Street Fighter VI!
IDW Publishing have been publishing their own universe of TMNT comics since 2011, and they recently debuted a new comic series inspired by the popular 1980s animated iteration of TMNT, titled TMNT: Saturday Morning Adventures.
Issue 1 of TMNT vs Street Fighter hits comic shops on 24th May 2023. The first issue will be available with five different variant covers, though one of the retailer incentive covers is limited to a mere 25 copies, so good luck finding one of those!
