It’s not often you get to talk about a PsychicParrot, but here we are as PsychicParrot, also known as Jeff Murray, has made a charming little game called Chopper Defence which you can buy for your Spectrum for as little as one Canadian dollar! The aim of the game is simple enough – aliens are invading (yet again!) and it’s your job to fly your laser-firing helicopter around the planet, rescuing the little paratroopers before they get smashed or shot. Taking clear inspiration from JetPac, Chopper Defence looks really nice and plays very well indeed. One CAD equals around 61p at the time or writing, which you wouldn’t even miss if it was gone, so you might as well spend it on this game and have a bit of fun for your money instead of wasting it on half a Mars bar or something.
