A fantastic new Game Boy title is being prepared for Kickstarter and it looks amazing. Flying Arrows is a new platform action game that has been in development for some time but is nearly ready for pre-orders. News from the developer, Studio Loading, has estimated that the Kickstarter will be live later in April. The game will be released on physical cartridges and feature full Super Game Boy support including a custom boarder. There will also be a playable demo available soon so you can try before putting your order in.
A trailer was released last year on YouTube but we’ve got our hands on an early build of the first level and Flying Arrows plays wonderfully. More details on the game will be out in due course as Studio Loading has promised us a full interview once the Kickstarter launches. But suffice to say it controls well and has some great graphical effects. You use your arrows to attack enemies but also to ride on. It sounds like a strange mechanic, but it does work and makes for some interesting gameplay.
