As you may have gathered, we love our indie games here at Fusion R Gamer, so it’s with interest that we learned that Indie Cup have shortlisted 49 finalists for their “best upcoming indie games awards”.
The jury favorite seems to be ODDADA, which is nominated in six different categories at once. It’s a quirky experimental game by a small German team that allows players to create melodies from landscapes, buildings, and various trinkets, weaving them together into a bespoke musical piece. ODDADA is closely followed by Nomori, described as ‘the game you’d get if Portal 2 and Ghibli had a baby’, which has five nominations; and Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall, The Darkest Files, and Henry Halfhead, which all have four nominations each.
Winners of the awards in all categories will be announced on 1st August 2024.
