Evercade have launched their ‘Game of the Month’ for June. The ‘Game of the Month’ programme gives Evercade VS owners the chance to sample a different game from the forthcoming ‘Indie Heroes 2’ collection each month from April 2022 to December 2022. The games can be accessed by updating to the latest firmware each month. Upon updating, the previous month’s game is replaced by the new game, meaning players only have access to one Game of the Month at a time. The Game of the Month programme began in April with the 8-bit puzzler Disco Tapeworm Puzzle.
May’s game of the month was the charming NES-inspired Nessy the Robot.
The newly-launched Game of the Month for June is the third in the series, and is the 8-bit adventure platformer ‘Reknum Souls Adventure’ from developer Nape Games. The NES-style sideways scroller takes place in a fantasy realm and involves exploring dungeons to collect keys, and battling enemies with your sword.
The latest firmware, including the game, is available to download now.
