After a few months of the rumour mill going round it seems that EA have now received a formal buyout bid from Amazon. Other potential suitors included Disney and Apple but it seems the US tech giant is looking to get in there first. There is no news of how much it has bid though.
This seems like a good move for Amazon considering it has been beavering away on video game animations and TV shows such as The Witcher recently. With EA’s vast library of properties to dive into this could mean more video game shows as well the constant stream of actual games. FIFA 23 season one anyone?
