Siberian retro game developers Retro Souls, have released a new platform game for the 128k ZX Spectrum, titled Ringo. It doesn’t appear to be based on the Beatles drummer or the delicious hoop-shaped potato snacks, but it does look amazing – we’re sure you’ll agree that it certainly doesn’t look like yer average Speccy game!

The colourful platform game was released yesterday and a demo version can be played online, or the full version can be downloaded in TAP format, both from here.

It’s great to see that the ZX Spectrum scene is still so vibrant here in 2022!

And don’t forget, to keep up with the latest developments in the world of the Speccy (with a tasty side order of nostalgia), be sure to check out our sister publication, Crash magazine!

I've been playing video games since the 1980s, from the 8-bit era onwards. I have had to play one-handed following a stroke in 2014, and I blog about playing games with one hand.
