Third-party peripheral developers NYXI have launched a controller that looks very much like a GameCube controller for Switch.
The controller, called the NYXI Wizard Wireless Joy-pad is now available to order for $69 US.
NYXI claim that their WaveBird-style controller will not suffer from the dreaded drift issue with which Nintendo’s official controllers are famously plagued. Other features of the controller include removable joysticks, and a programmable turbo function that can be assigned to any face button. The controller’s rechargeable battery offers 8.5 hours play time and a charging time of 2.5 hours. NYXI also claim a receiving distance of 10 metres for the pad.
Although it is possible to use an original GameCube controller on Switch using an adaptor, this bespoke GameCube controller for Switch offers a more elegant way to enjoy aGameCube controller experience on Switch.
