Whilst Returnal, the sci-fi horror PS5 game from developer Housemarque was the big winner at the BAFTA Game Awards, there were also multiple awards in recognition for games with far smaller budgets.
Unpacking, the laid-back puzzle game where you simply unpack possessions as you move house won both best Narrative and the EE Game of the Year awards. It Takes Two, the wonderful platformer, and my personal game of 2021, won both Best Original Property and best Multiplayer.
