The love for demo disks back in the day was huge. There will be many of us that would play the same levels over and over until we could afford to buy the game. They were a lifeline in deciding which game to choose next and brought the games in the magazines to life after reading the review. Well, many folks will want to check out the collaboration between Sega Powered Magazine and Wave Game Studio as they aim to bring the beloved demo cd back to magazine covers.
The new Sega magazine is currently set to send issue three to print and plan to get the Dreamcast demo disk ready for June’s issue five. We don’t have any information as to what will appear on the disk but I’m hoping for games, videos and maybe a full indie title. Wave Game Studio have been a stalwart of the Dreamcast publishing scene and have promised twelve new releases this year. If that is anything to go by then we may have plenty of content for demo disks going forward.
