Gibbon: Beyond the Trees is a short game that aims for simplicity over complicated mechanics. You play as a gibbon family that go on an adventure. You swing and slide through forests, human towns and other areas. The developers have subtly placed a good message about animal conservation through clever level design and you are asked to think on the plight of the worlds animals.

There are only three buttons to control and the learning curve is quick. Once you master the swinging from tree to tree and start to pick up speed the game is a joy to play. The graphics and sound are great but there are a few slowdown issues on the Switch. It is almost a shame the main game is very short, about an hour or so. Overall this is a fun little game, perfect for a weekend blast.
