According to a tweet by Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb, there may be a long wait ahead for the highly-anticipated remake of Rare’s beloved GoldenEye 007 Nintendo 64 game for modern consoles. According to FGrubb’s tweet, the reason for the delay is “the war”.
There has not yet been an official announcement from Rare or Microsoft regarding the remake of the Bond-themed FPS, nor is there any indication of what formats it would be released on. That said, Xbox is obviously a safe bet. Keep your fingers crossed that we will eventually see a GoldenEye 007 remake one day!
GoldenEye 007 was originally released on the Nintendo 64 in 1997 and is regarded by many as one of the finest multiplayer first-person shooters of all time. The game is based on the 17th official film in the James Bond franchise.
