As expected, the titles featured on the first volume of THE C64 Collection for Evercade are taken from Retro Games Ltd’s THE C64 console. The cartridge is a result of a deal between Blaze and Retro Games Ltd, so while this may be disappointing to THE C64-owning Evercade fans, it makes sense. Also, of note is that the Commodore name is conspicuous by its absence, much like with Retro Games Ltd’s THE C64 and their “A500 Mini”!

This cartridge kicks off a new line of home computer collections for Evercade, denoted by a blue spine on cartridge cases, in contrast to the red spine for console collections and purple on arcade collections.
So far, the only future collections named for Evercade’s home computer line are further THEC64 collections for 2023, but who knows what could follow?
Pre-orders for THEC64 Collection Volume 1 open on 29th July, and it’s due to ship in October 2022.
