Ready to feel old? Rollercoaster Tycoon turns 25 on Sunday (31st March 2024).
We were probably a little more partial to Bullfrog’s Theme Park from a few years earlier, but there’s no doubt that Rollercoaster Tycoon has its fans too, and if you’re among them, you may be interested to know that Atari are celebrating Rollercoaster Tycoon’s quarter century of ups and downs with loads of celebratory merch, including exclusive apparel, accessories, and collectibles. Items on offer include, for serious fans of the game, a limited edition of shadowbox art pieces, showcasing the game’s original box cover, each piece personally signed by the creator, Chris Sawyer. These are limited to just 250 units. But you’ll also find clothing and other accessories, all at atari.com.
Atari operates the franchise’s games under a license agreement with Chris Sawyer, with games in the series including Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic, Tycoon 2, Tycoon Deluxe, Touch, and Adventures Deluxe. Atari intends to create new titles for the franchise in the coming years, so that’s something to look forward to!
