As you may have gathered, we’re partial to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles here at Fusion R Gamer, so when Polygon broke the news that a new TMNT game is in development, our interest was piqued as high as Michaelangelo’s when he smells freshly baked pizza.
But this new TMNT game promises to be something of a departure from the colourful cartoon beat ’em-up action found on the Cowabunga Collection and Shredder’s Revenge.
This new TMNT game will reportedly be based on the recent, rather dark graphic novel The Last Ronin, and will, according to Doug Rosen of Paramount Global, be an action RPG in the vein of God of War.
We’re rather looking forward to seeing how a darker, more mature take on TMNT could translate into a video game. What do you think of the idea of a Last Ronin video game? Let us know in the comments…
