New ZX Spectrum Assembly Language book

Those of us who grew up in the era of the home micro undoubtedly all dreamt of making our own games, and it’s never too late to try! A new ZX Spectrum assembly language book has been written with that very goal in mind. The book aims to teach assembly language for the Z80 processor in order to make a ZX Spectrum game.

The book was originally written in Spanish by Juan Antonio Rubio García and Javier García Navarro, but has been translated into English by Felipe Monge Corbalán, who also illustrated the book.

The book, titled ‘ZX Spectrum Assembly. Let’s make a game?’ Was published on 21st November 2023, and is available physically or digitally from Amazon, as well as being available to subscribers of Kindle Unlimited.

So, why not pick up a copy and unleash your inner Matthew Smith, Darling Brother, or Oliver Twin?

I've been playing video games since the 1980s, from the 8-bit era onwards. I have had to play one-handed following a stroke in 2014, and I blog about playing games with one hand.
