SNK x Arika: SNK and Arika are to collaborate to Revamp SNK IP

SNK x Arika collaboration incoming: Neo Geo owners SNK are to team up with Arika to revamp some of SNK’s dormant IPs.


Little else is yet known about the collaboration other than it is “planned for IPs other than fighting games,” which perhaps seems a little odd, considering both companies’ heritages.


So, which SNK IPs could we be seeing in revamped form? Maybe the superlative run ‘n’ gunner Metal Slug? Or how about the arcade golf classic Neo Turf Masters?


And what form could these revamped IPs take? While we’re hoping for something substantial, in recent years Arika have been responsible for online battle royale titles such as Tetris 99, Super Mario Bros. 35 and Pac-Man 99. So, could we perhaps be seeing SNK IP in battle royale form? We’ll just have to wait for the promised “further details in the future” to find out.
