Sonic Origins is set to release digitally on Sonic’s birthday, June 23, 2022. There is no news of a physical version yet. We also have further confirmation that the price is starting at £32.99, which seems high for a compilation of a few old Sonic games. It is releasing on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch™ family of systems and PC. Sega have also announced the cost across multiple options.
Lastly we have some update to the different games and modes included. A standard mode includes the Mega Drive games as intended. The Anniversary Mode provides a full screen display and offers players an infinite number of lives. While the mission modes has features and objectives to complete. To polish off the pack there is a boss rush mode and some new animations showing the Sonic story.
