Developer ConcernedApe has continued to update and support the farming sim for free over the past six years, and gamers have continued to purchase and play the game ever since. This goes to show, that a quality game and continued dedication go an awful long way to retaining and gaining new fans.
Stardew Valley is now one of the best-selling indie games of all time, amassing 5 million new sales in just the last 12 months alone. That’s right up there alongside Minecraft and Rocket League, not bad for a product that has remained wholly independent.
