Atari has announced they are re-releasing three classic Atari 7800 titles in May 2024. Partnering with Plaion, the games will be playable on cartridge-based consoles and will come complete with new packaging. The three titles are:
• Fatal Run 7800 – “a challenging, futuristic battle racer that demands nerves of steel and Grand Prix driving skills. Use the shops to upgrade your car and obtain more powerful weapons.”
• Ninja Golf 7800 – “swing and kick away at Ninjas, duck-whipping stars, pick up treasures, and shoot for birdies, it’s all part of a day’s fun. In Ninja Golf, par for the course is leaving a trail of fallen enemies.”
• Food Fight 7800 – “a frenetic, fast-paced game that will keep you coming back for seconds! Battle up to four different chefs as you race to collect the ice cream cone before it melts.”
Curiously Atari’s homepage claims the titles will be available worldwide, yet the product pages claim they will only ship to the United States.
