THUNDER CEPTOR II, released in aracdes by Namco in 1986, is out today on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The port has been handled by retro publisher Hamster Corp. that has a good track record of bringing arcade classics to modern systems under its Arcade Archives brand.
Thunder Ceptor II uses a viewpoint behind your spaceship which has a rapid-fire zapper cannon and rockets. The original arcade release featured a 3D scope effect that has been removed for the console ports. Online high score tables have been added as well as various game settings such as game difficulty.
