Penny’s Big Breakaway is the first title to come from the new studio Evening Star, which comprises devs who previously worked on the glorious 2D Sonic title Sonic Mania. Penny’s Big Adventure will be a 3D platformer in which the protagonist wields a yo-yo, bringing to mind the Neo Geo classic Spin Master.
Penny’s Big Adventure promises a lot of colourful yo-yo action and 3D platforming fun. Although announced at this week’s Nintendo Direct on 21st June 2023, in addition to Nintendo Switch, the game will also spin its way onto PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S early next year, to be published by New York-based publisher Private Division.
Penny’s Big Breakaway can be wishlisted now on Steam and the PlayStation store.
