Virtua Fighter NFTs

Over on Twitter, the well-respected video game developer Yu Suzuki has revealed that he partnered with Oasyx, who specialise in gaming NFTS, in order to create Virtua Fighter NFTs based on Sega’s popular series of 3D one-on-one brawlers.

We can’t help but feel like this project sounds like something of a disappointing use of Suzuki’s considerable talent, considering he has been responsible for a mind-boggling number of stone cold classic video games over the decades, including Space Harrier, Out Run, Virtua Fighter, Daytona USA, and Shenmue.

Do you have any interest in NFTs, or are you as sceptical as we are? Why not share your thoughts in the comments?

I've been playing video games since the 1980s, from the 8-bit era onwards. I have had to play one-handed following a stroke in 2014, and I blog about playing games with one hand.
