Tunic is an isometric action-adventure game that’s part Zelda, part Soulslike, all fox.  It’s been on my radar for a number of years now, but finally, the release is imminent.  Hopefully, it will eventually be released on all platforms, but for now, Microsoft has a timed exclusive.  Playing as an anthropomorphic fox, you explore the gorgeous world, fighting enemies and interacting with parts of the world.

Structured similarly to Zelda, many routes are blocked until you have gained an ability that helps you progress. However, skirmishes require precision timing, locking onto enemies, and basing your attacks on whatever your enemy is doing at the time. This mashup of genres, combined with the beautiful cuteness of the graphics is why the game is already high on everyone’s wish list.

Tunic is out on Steam and Xbox on March 16th.
