It was only a couple of years ago that the classic JRPG Sakura Wars was translated for Western players to enjoy. Now the same team behind that landmark fan translation are at it again after announcing that the series’ second game is getting the same treatment.
In a tweet, retro game translator NoahSteam explained that they were “Excited to reveal that we’ve been hard at work on a translation for Sakura Wars 2 on Saturn since summer 2021! Happy to say that most of the translation is done. Keep an eye out for updates!”
To celebrate the news, the team behind the translation have released a translated demo that was originally released exclusively in Japan before the games launch. Sakura Wars 2 was released in 1998 on Saturn and Dreamcast but sadly none of the series ever made it out of Japan.
