We reported yesterday that amongst the announcements made at Wednesday’s Evercade showcase Volume 1 was a Funstock-exclusive limited edition Evercade VS variant: the Evercade VS Atomic Edition, which comes in a new action movie-inspired colour scheme, and is bundled with two Duke Nukem collections. The Evercade VS Atomic Edition was limited to just 2000 units, and it went nuclear and sold out within 24 hours of going up for pre-order.
The rapid sales of the Evercade VS Atomic Edition show that the Evercade has earned itself quite a following amongst collectors, who seem happy to shell out for multiple variants of the same console. A business model much-loved by Nintendo, of course.
