We previously reported on the return of the beloved Japanese game developer Sunsoft, as well as their showcase highlighting upcoming releases, well, now Sunsoft have confirmed the release window and format for a new Sunsoft game, namely the return of Ufouria The Saga, which was the first in Sunsoft’s Hebereke series, originally released in Japan as Hebereke for Famicom in 1991, with a European NES release following under the title Ufouria The Saga in 1992.
The game is an almost unbearably cute roguelite platformer, with an emphasis on exploration.
Ufouria The Saga is returning in the form of a remake for the Nintendo Switch in early 2024. Despite being a remake of the original game, the new game is titled as if it’s a sequel, titled Ufouria The Saga 2 in the West and Hebereke 2 in Japan.
