Epic Games, in conjunction with Xbox, has announced that $144m (£110m) has been raised for humanitarian aid relief for the victims of Ukraine. For the past two weeks, all proceeds generated from in-game sales in Fortnite have been donated to charity organisations, including Direct Relief, Unicef, the UN World Food Program, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and World Central Kitchen.
This follows previous donations in the game industry from Bandai Namco, itch.io, and Humble Bundle. Well done to everyone involved.
