The television rights to the classic video game Alan Wake have been snapped up by network giant AMC to create a brand new TV Series. As part of the 12 Years of Alan Wake Anniversary Update, Sam Lake, the creative director of Remedy, confirmed the news to fans.

AMC has previously adapted comic books Preacher and The Walking Dead to critical acclaim, so expectations are already high for the new series.

The Alan Wake video game debuted on Xbox360 in 2010 and told the story of a writer who embarked on a journey into madness. It spawned 2 DLC episodes and whilst a sequel was on the cards at the time, it never materialised. However, following the release of the Remastered edition late last year, an announcement was made that a true sequel would finally appear in 2023.
