Unquestionably, Blumhouse Productions has had a pretty successful couple of decades creating some of the biggest horror movies. Hits such as Insidious, The Purge, Get Out, and more recently M3gan have been well received both by critics and fans alike. Blumhouse has now announced that it will be moving into the world of gaming.
Blumhouse Games is a new division that will focus on bringing independent horror-themed titles to consoles, PCs, and mobile platforms. The low-budget model used for their movie productions will continue, and gaming budgets will be below $10M allowing developers to push creative boundaries.
I’m a massive fan of horror games and really looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
