We previously reported on the announcement of two new handheld consoles from Evercade manufacturers Blaze Entertainment, the Super Pocket Capcom Edition and the Super Pocket Taito Edition, which, as well as being compatible with Evercade cartridges will come with built-in games from their respective brands.
The previously announced games for the Taito model were Space Invaders, Operation Wolf, The New Zealand Story, Rastan, Bubble Bobble, Elevator Action, and Space Invaders ‘91. Bolstering the already impressive line-up will be the bubble-bursting puzzler Puzzle Bobble.
The news was broken by Evercade superfan Sir Top & Hat on X (formerly known as Twitter, and still referred to as such by all sane people). Sir Top & Hat is as reliable a source for Evercade-related news as you’ll find outside of Blaze themselves.
While the Super Pocket consoles seem fairly inessential, they could make for fun stocking fillers for fans of retro gaming.
