In a somewhat surprising announcement, Valve has announced that Counter-Strike 2 is really happening, and more amazingly, will arrive in just a few months’ time. It’s been over a decade since the last iteration of the multiplayer behemoth was released, namely, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – and Valve promises the next game will feature the largest technical leap forward in the game’s history.
In another interesting move, Valve has declared that Counter-Strike 2 will be a free update to Global Offensive. All cosmetic items from the previous game will carry across to CS2 as well.
Counter-Strike 2 will be released on PC this summer.
