F-Zero 99 graphic

Last week we reported that the Nintendo Switch’s online multiplayer reimagining of the beloved futuristic SNES racer F-Zero, F-Zero 99, would be getting more content in “late September”. Now we know exactly when in September that will be. It’s tomorrow. (Friday 29th September 2023.)

Tomorrow, five additional tracks will be added to the game, which will be Red Canyon I, Mute City II, Port Town I, White Land II, and Death Wind II.

Are you enjoying the multiplayer madness of F-Zero 99 so far? At the time of writing, this particular writer has yet to progress beyond F-Zero 50, but I’m sure you’re faring a little better than I am! If you’ve managed to win a game, please let us know in the comments, so at least we’ll know that it’s actually possible!

I've been playing video games since the 1980s, from the 8-bit era onwards. I have had to play one-handed following a stroke in 2014, and I blog about playing games with one hand.
