According to reports online, originating with Japanese public broadcaster NHK, a small fire broke out at Nintendo’s development centre in Kyoto yesterday. The fire is believed to have been caused by an appliance overheating when plugged in to charge.
Damage was caused to desks and chairs, but fortunately, no injuries to people were reported. Eight fire engines were apparently dispatched to deal with the blaze, but the fire is believed to have been extinguished by employees prior to the arrival of the fire engines.
