Physical game publisher Limited Run Games has announced plans to publish physical releases for the ‘A Boy and His Blob Retro Collection’ for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PC. This collection comprises just two games: the original cult classic ‘A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Bloblonia’, which was originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989 and its sequel, ‘A Boy and His Blob: The Rescue of Princess Blobette’, which was originally released in 1991 for the Nintendo Game Boy. Both games are puzzle-based platformers, which were designed and programmed by David Crane, who is perhaps best known as the creator of Atari 2600 platforming classic Pitfall.
The collection was one of a whopping 33 titles announced for forthcoming physical release at Limited Run’s LRG3 Summer Showcase event on 6th June 2022.
A release date for the collection has not yet been announced.
