The ever-prolific ZX Spectrum coder Gabriele Amore has released a new Frogger clone, Frogger-Mini. While Amore has said he’ll probably add more features in future, the current build of the game is a great-looking and perfectly playable version of the timeless arcade classic, which is well worth your time. As per Amore’s previous Spectrum games, great use is made of the Speccy’s colour palette, proving that Spectrum games don’t have to be monochrome.

Frogger Mini isn’t a game you’ll play for hours on end, but it is a game you’ll come back to again and again for “one more go”! Well worth crossing a busy road for!

So, why did the frog cross the road? To download Gabriele Amore’s Frogger Mini, of course!

Frogger-Mini is available as a free download in the the .szx format from Gab Am’s ZX Spectrum Games Facebook page. Hop to it!

I've been playing video games since the 1980s, from the 8-bit era onwards. I have had to play one-handed following a stroke in 2014, and I blog about playing games with one hand.
