This month’s Games With Gold lineup has been announced by Xbox and includes four games. Two will be released 1st September with the other two coming 16th September. Two modern indie titles,
Double Kick Heroes and Gods Will Fall, are included along with original Xbox title Thrillville and the classic Portal 2 for 360.
Thrillville is a 2006 simulator that allows you to build and control your own theme park. It is described by Xbox as “racing on go-kart tracks you constructed, play mini-golf on courses you designed, or join friends for dozens of four-player party games, from bumper cars to arcade shoot-’em-ups.”
I think September’s Games with Gold is the last to feature Xbox 360 titles too – whether it drops back from 4 to 2 games remains to be seen. It also marks the end of games you can keep forever, and effectively it has turned into a games rental service, just like playstation plus. End of an era…!
