Following the success of Sonic the Hedgehog, Bandai Namco has reportedly greenlit a live-action Pac-Man film. According to reports from the Hollywood Reporter, they are partnering with Wayfarer Studios to produce the movie.
The movie will be based on an original idea from Chuck Williams of Lightbeam Entertainment, the associate producer of the first Sonic the Hedgehog film, so early expectations are positive. As long as they don’t introduce a hideous-looking Pac-Man that causes a fandom out-cry… Waka Waka.
