It was only last week that we reported on the surprise launch of F-Zero 99, Nintendo’s 99-player battle royale reimaging of the original SNES F-Zero, but it seems that additional content is already planned for the game. VGC have reported that the Nintendo of Japan website is promising that more courses will be added to the game, with an update including “Queen League” tracks in “late September” and an update including “King League” tracks in “mid-October”.
Meanwhile, Nintendo Life have reported that a data miner has uncovered not yet launched “arcade” and “survival” modes in the games.
If you’re a Nintendo Switch Online member and you haven’t yet downloaded F-Zero 99 from the eshop, we highly recommend that you do! It’s a lot of chaotic futuristic racing fun (though admittedly, I haven’t yet been allowed to progress beyond the F-Zero 50 mode due to being predictably crap at the game). I’m still having a lot of fun with it nonetheless!
