A game that many of us at Fusion are excited for is Planet of Lana. It is due for release early next year but it had an impressive demo showing at EGX London 22. The short demo introduced yo to the main characters and how the puzzle platformer plays.
The game is quite simple, you control a young girl who joins forces with a dog companion. You control the new found friends across a 2D platform adventure where you are constantly having to solve puzzles to progress. Much of the demo was showing how you ask the dog to sit on switches.
The demo also had some nice jumping sections that showed off the beautiful animation and excellent controls. There was something satisfying about leaping, Prince of Persia style, across the platforms. Climbing the ropes was also fun and Planet of Lana has a real feel of quality.
There wasn’t much to experience overall, but I certainly saw enough to know this will be a must buy for fans of the genre. This has instant classic written all over it. I look forward to seeing more of this expertly crafted world and how the friends get through their adventure.
